Turn,Turn,Turn

We all face numerous personal tragedies in our lifetime. We all have our days of physical and emotional suffering.

This has been a week of absolute grief. There is nothing delicate about grief. The grief becomes magnified when we know we are grieving. And who enjoys confronting grief? The griever, usually waits for time to help with the healing.Unfortunately the grief of victims of Katrina, will need a long time. I hope and pray that the load of grief thay carry will be eased by the many who care. For us, it is our time to carry that weight.........

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear it’s not too late

It's a time for healing..for all of us.   Peace~~~ Marc

We are on the same page. Just the other day, This was running through my head. I was singing this song. To me, it fit all that I was feeling with regards to much going on in this world. I sat and I stared at the monitor unable to compose a single word. Yet wanted to incorporate the song with the feeling. How simple. You have managed to capture it for me. Thanks.

That musical selection was very appropos, Marc, and a favorite of mine. The book of Ecclesiastes talks about life's never-ending struggles and enigmas, the greatest of which is man himself. And so we stumble about throughout our lives, struggling with our own weaknesses, and trying to understand God's great purposes- which of course we can't. Within only 8 months, we have seen 2 incredibly troubling enigmas, the Tsunami in December and now Katrina. As I've said in the sidebar in my own journal page, in the end our spirit returns to God, so love, and only love can guide our journey home. If there is any comfort that can be derived from Katrina, it is that hearts and souls filled with love and compassion are in great abundance, and become apparent more readily during tragedies like this one.
Hope you find many reasons to smile this week;)
